Parental Food Sovereignty

  • We deserve the right to feed our families real, whole foods like raw milk and grass-fed meat—free from government overreach. Federal agencies, influenced by powerful food industry lobbyists, are restricting access to nutrient-dense, time-tested foods while protecting the profits of large corporations.
  • These agencies allow misleading labels that deceive families. Terms like “Pasture-Raised,” “Grass-Fed,” and “Free-Range” often don’t reflect reality—thanks to weak regulations and industry loopholes. We’re demanding truth in labeling. If a product says “Pasture-Raised,” it should actually come from animals raised on pasture—not from a factory farm with a tiny door to a patch of grass no animal ever uses.
  • Less restriction on real food. More accountability for corporate food giants. Let moms make informed choices.
    • Raw Dairy: Raw milk is a time-tested, nutrient-rich food being unfairly restricted by outdated federal policies. Most milk today is ultra-pasteurized at extreme temperatures, stripping it of nutritional value. Federal mandates on pasteurization have harmed small family farms and deprived consumers of choice and nutrition.
    • Grass-fed Beef: Contains two to five times more Omega-3 Fatty Acids and CLA, which is linked to reduced cancer risk, over grain-fed beef. Several studies also suggest that grass-based diets elevate precursors for Vitamin A and E.
    • Pasture-Raised Eggs: Eggs from pastured hens are more nutritious, with higher levels of omega-3s, vitamin E, and vitamin A than conventional eggs. These nutritional benefits come from hens foraging on natural diets. Industrial egg production sacrifices quality for quantity, limiting consumer access to healthier, nutrient-dense options.

Eliminating Toxic Additives

  • America allows ingredients in our children’s food that are banned across Europe. With the support of federal agencies, major food corporations continue to fill products with harmful dyes, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners—chemicals that pose serious risks to our kids’ health.
  • We demand a ban on toxic additives and stronger regulations that hold food producers accountable. Clean, safe food is not a luxury—it’s a right. It's time for a food system that protects our children, not corporate profits.
    • Food dyes like Red 40 and Yellow 5 are banned or carry warning labels in Europe but remain common in U.S. products. They’ve been linked to hyperactivity and behavioral issues in children—even those without ADHD.
    • Over 99% of U.S. kids’ cereals contain additives that are banned overseas due to health concerns.
    • Artificial sweeteners like aspartame and saccharin disrupt metabolism and damage gut health by altering the microbiome, leading to increased risk of metabolic disorders.
    • Preservatives like TBHQ, BHA, and BHT are used widely in American packaged foods and snacks—despite being flagged as possible human carcinogens

School Food & SNAP Benefits Reform

  • Beginning in the mid-20th century, schools began shifting from homemade meals in schools to corporate food service contracts that offer mass-produced, processed foods that were cheaper and more convenient than nutritious, homemade meals. We demand a complete reform of school meals, focusing on local sourcing, scratch-made meals, and redirecting SNAP benefits to support healthy, fresh produce and local meat and dairy.
